My Thrive Market Review
I discovered Thrive Market about a year ago while I was searching for a cheaper and easier way to shop for the organic foods and supplements that I needed for my IVF diet and Hypothyroidism Diet I had been researching. Whole Foods always seems so expensive and I couldn’t find most of what I was looking for at my local supermarket. I was basically going to multiple markets and ordering what I couldn’t find in person online, while dragging a toddler along with me and stressing myself out.
When I discovered Thrive Market I was so relieved to find all of the organic supplements, snacks, and all natural skin care that I was running all over town trying to get a good deal on. They were all in one place at super low prices that would ship directly to my door. Plus, you can search all of their products by diet,. This makes finding what I you are looking for SO easy. You can sort the entire product catalog into categories like Non-GMO, Organic, Vegan, Gluten-Free, Paleo, Sustainable, etc.
Is The Thrive Market Membership Really Worth It?
I was so excited to find such great prices on products at Thrive Market! However, I quickly discovered there was one drawback to the website. Thrive has a yearly membership fee of $59.95. At first I was like, “nope.” But, this annual membership gets you 25 to 50 percent off of products delivered straight to your door. So, once I really looked at price comparisons, how much time and gas I was wasting to buy all the same products locally, and how much I would truly use the website, the yearly membership fee was absolutely worth it.
I figured I would definitely be saving more by shopping there than what I was spending on the less than $5 per month membership. I also learned that for every membership purchased, Thrive donates a membership to a family in need. So, why not try it for a year, and see if it really paid off? Well, my Thrive Market membership definitely paid off, and it was definitely worth it. I saved so much time and money by becoming a Thrive member, and here’s how.
How to Save the Most at Thrive Market
Once I signed up for the FREE 30 Day trial, I realized that I get emails almost DAILY for FREE products that would be included in my orders! I placed 3 orders in the first 30 days, and I was able to try multiple free snacks and clean skin care items with each order. That was one of the first perks I noticed right away after signing up.
Also, I have a FREE account with Rakuten that allows me to get an addition 2% cash back on all of my Thrive Market orders. I save a lot of money shopping online when I use Rakuten. Third, I began comparing prices on items I buy the most to see if the membership was really going to be worth it once I was charged after the FREE 30 day trial. Here is what I found:
Collagen Peptides – 20 oz. Unflavored
Thrive Market: $24.99
Other Stores: $43.00
Ancient Nutrition Bone Broth Protein Powder
Thrive Market: About $40
Other Stores: About $45
Thrive Market: $9.99
Other Stores: $15.00
Nutiva Black Chia Seeds – 12 oz.
Thrive Market: $7.99
Other Stores: $10.39

Thrive Market: $7.19
Other Stores: $9.00
Dr. Bronner’s Castille Soap – 32 oz.
Thrive Market: $12.99
Other Stores: $15.99
Basically, I discovered that you end up saving the most on Vitamins and Supplements, All Natural Skin Care and pantry staples like Oils, Vinegars, Baking products. When it comes to food and snacks, prices are fairly comparable to your local grocery store. But, you won’t actually have to drive to the store to get those foods and snacks! Plus, when you are at the grocery store you are more tempted to make unnecessary purchases.
Ordering from Thrive helps decrease the senseless purchases you might make because you’re hungry or wandering through the store. Also, Thrive offers Thrive Cash on many of their products. This allows you to apply what you earn on one order to your next order for an even larger discount. And, last, at the end of the year if you find that your membership hasn’t paid for itself, Thrive Market will credit you the difference when you renew for another year.
