Fertility Supplements
- Prenatal Vitamins – Be sure to pick one with DHA and Folic Acid (preferably methylated), like THESE.
- Protein
- Collagen – For protein, and to help prevent stretch marks.
- Men’s Vitamins – My doctor told my husband to take a multivitamin that contained Selenium to optimize his sperm.
- CoQ10 for Egg quality – THESE Gummies are a great afternoon treat!
*Disclaimer – I am not a doctor, so please consult with your physician before taking any supplements and for more information on what fertility supplements might be best for you.
Great Fertility Products for Trying to Conceive
- Ovulation Test Strip & Pregnancy Test Strips – These are SO handy. Not only do they include both ovulation strips to determine when you’re most fertile, they contain pregnancy test strips too. SO much cheaper than traditional pregnancy tests! Use them with THESE CUPS.
- Cups to Use with Test Strips
- Big Aluminum Water Bottle – I love how big this water bottle is. It’s important to drink a ton of water while trying to conceive, and avoid plastics that could disrupt your hormones.
- Basal Body Temp Thermometer – By taking your temperature with a basal body temp thermometer every morning when you wake up (before you get out of bed, or do ANYTHING else!), you’ll be able to determine exactly the day you ovulate! The day you ovulate, your temperature will rise by a couple degrees and stay that way until you get your period. Crazy, right? This thermometer, along with a cycle tracking app like Clue where you can input your daily temperature and symptoms, is a great way to track your cycle to get pregnant faster.
- These Discs – These were a little trick I used to ensure the sperm got where it needed to go after sex! After sex, just insert one and leave it in for a little while. Who knows if it helps, but it worked for me!
- Genetic Testing – This is for before you even decide to try to get pregnant. DNA testing allows you to find out your carrier status, whether you are prone to any genetic diseases that you might pass onto your baby, your fertility status, and more. This is completely optional, and preference only, if you choose to know this information.
Let me know if there is anything you used that was effective while trying to conceive! I’ll add it to the list! I hope some of these help you in your journey! Good luck!
